iphone Wordpress doesn’t like me

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Apologies for the delayed reactions and slow going on the blog posts. I have been a busy bee and have had limited access to the laptop. No problem, the handy little iphone has a Wordpress application. Sweet!

But alas, I can’t seem to make the thing work because the 2 posts I wrote on the go in the last week remain on my phone as drafts:(  Even though I’ve “published” the posts via my iphone the mothership does not update. Bummer.

LimmudPhilly Rocked!

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

The first Limmud in Philly was yesterday and it was great! With more than 600 peeps in attendance, there was a really nice vibe in the air. I lead two workshops that were well attended and everyone seemed to have fun. I’m glad that even my Aunt Ruthy was able to attend, and she now seems to have a handle on my work with JPS. I look forward to the next LimmidPhilly.

Growing Up Comix

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

So I am busting my hump getting ready for my first solo art show. Who knew that mounting a show was so time consuming? Frames, mattes, shipping?! Oy Vey!! I am exhibiting almost 50 pieces that I have made since 1985. Although, truth be told, the fact that I now wear bifocals and can say that I have a retrospective of my work is a bit unsettling. So tell your peeps in Miami about Growing Up Comix at the Art Center/SouthFlorida in SOBE right on Lincoln Road March 21- April 24thish. I hope to see you there..

NYCComicCon and Miami Fun

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

So last weekend I bopped around the east coast. On Friday I went to the NYC ComicCon, ran into a long lost friend from college and generally had a swell time. Then I headed down to sunny Miami where I hung with some more friends and their awesome little kids. I was invited by Temple Beth Am to present my work about Megillat Esther. It was a jam packed weekend full of comix, friends, and educational insight. And now I’m pooped.

Happy and pooped.
